The Vision
Music as an art form is a profound vehicle for expressing and delving into our shared human experiences; it has the power to reshape the world. The golden age of record production in the ’60s and ’70s emerged as a dynamic response to the shifting socio-economic landscape globally. The innovative production techniques and technologies developed during this vibrant era significantly influenced the worldwide musical and cultural renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s.
However, the landscape began to shift…
By 2020, the relentless consolidation and commercialization of the entertainment industry had taken a toll. Many independent, creatively-driven record labels and studios around the world succumbed to these pressures. In Pakistan, this trend was intensified by the problematic practice of entrusting creative control to corporate brands. This approach has fostered content that is not only culturally regressive but also barely recognizable as music.
Against this backdrop of cultural stagnation, A for Aleph was founded in 2017. This production house was designed as a sanctuary where the avant-garde of the next generation—artists, producers, engineers, and other collaborators—could harness state-of-the-art technology and a progressive ethos to fully realize their artistic visions.
At Aleph, we champion the transformative power of art. We subscribe to the belief that each individual is a unique manifestation of the universal whole—the ONE. We contend that true artistic distinction comes from embracing one’s genuine self. By aiding some of the most innovative artists of our time to explore and express deeper facets of their identity, we aim to contribute to the healing and evolution of our collective consciousness—our Aleph.
The Facility
At A for Aleph, we provide top-tier facilities with two tracking studios with an isolated drum room and vocal booth. to support every stage of the music creation process. Our state-of-the-art recording studios, pre-production, and rehearsal spaces feature both analog and hybrid setups, meticulously organized to complement the workflows of contemporary producers, engineers and artists.
We offer a wide array of services online which include mixing, mastering, stem-mixing, voiceovers, foley recordings, soundtrack production, and sound design, making our cutting-edge resources accessible to artists anywhere in the world.
The Facility
A for Aleph is dedicated to meeting the expansive needs of producers, artists and bands looking to immerse themselves fully in their music creation. Understanding the financial challenges independent artists face, we offer a variety of production packages designed to achieve the highest production values.
Our services include pre-production in our specially designed production rooms, comprehensive access to all instruments (including drums, guitars, amplifiers, microphones, pedals, and keyboards) and state-of-the-art rehearsal spaces that are fully equipped for recording. Artists can choose to record live or track individually according to their preference in one of Aleph’s exceptional tracking rooms, which feature vintage NEVE and API Mic Preamps and EQs. Whether using your engineer or one from our accomplished roster, we ensure that all recordings are edited and tuned to meet modern professional standards.
Post-production, Mixing and Mastering are done on our advanced hybrid mixing setup, centered around the Neve 5060 Summing and Stem Mixing Console. This setup integrates an extensive array of both vintage and modern outboard gear from leading manufacturers in the world including Vertigo Sound, Maag, Kush Audio, Shadow Hills to name a few; along with a selection of plugins by UAD, Fabfilter, Izotope, and Slate.
