An eclectic sufi-fusion group, Surkhwaab composes and arranges Eastern classical/folk standards in their own way. Surkhwaab “سرخواب” was formed in 2019 in Karachi by founding members Jasir Abro, Zishan Mansoor and Ajay Harri initially as a cover band playing small gigs in Karachi. January 2020 saw the addition of Zeeshal Ali’s powerhouse eastern-classical vocals, and savant keyboardist Jon Saville’s jazz fusion to the mix. Surkhwaab’s self-titled EP was recorded at A for Aleph and is due to be released this year. (Keys/Piano)
