2222 Pakistan’s very own renaissance man, acclaimed singer-songwriter Arieb Azhar is recording his single “Charsi Bhangi” right here at Aleph Studios. With over three decades of experience under his belt, Arieb is one of the few artists in Pakistan that maintain the perfect balance between art and activism. Through collaborating with Aleph, Arieb is bringing a fresh spin on “Charsi Bhangi” without compromising it’s ethos. The track features an ensemble of seasoned blues players with Zishan Mansoor on guitars, Jasir Abro on bass, Jon Saville on the keys and Ajay Harri on drums. Umair Dar and Saad Dada are on producer duties on the song, which comes out soon.
